Un o’r tafarnau hynaf yn Y Rhyl ac ym 1951 hi oedd y dafarn gyntaf yn yr holl wlad i godi trwydded i ddangos rhaglenni teledu un gyhoeddus. Ym 1929, tra’n adeiladu, darganfuwyd ffynnon yn y buarth gefn.
Rhwng 1944 ac 1958 enw’r tafarnwr oedd Joseph William Jones oedd yn cael ei alw’n Jones the Swan neu Joe Swan.
