Angel Tavern, Welshpool

The timber framed inn dated back to the 16th century and was much changed in the 18th century.  During the 19th century the Angel was a popular watering hole for cattlemen attending the market.  By 1881 the Angel had ceased to be a public house and one Thomas I.Williams, shoemaker was occupying the premises.
