The Grapes, Maentwrog

The Grade II listed Grapes Hotel is located in Maentwrog in the Vale of Ffestiniog.  A former coaching inn which dates back to the 17th century and is one of the oldest and most famous inns in Wales.  The Grapes is conveniently located in the heart of Snowdonia National Park.
Offering a fine selection of real ales. 
It is said that David Lloyd George (1863 – 1945), the former Prime Minister and Lillie Langtry (1853 – 1929) the famous actress had tea at the hotel though not together! 

Victoria Inn, Llanbedr

The stone-built Victoria Inn is a roadside inn dating back to the 1800s and located in Llanbedr village on the banks of the river Artro.  Formerly a coaching inn with the Settle Bar being the oldest part of the building with original features comprising of flagged stone floor, ancient stove  and longcase clock.   
Serving real ales.
Food served in bar and restaurant with the Victoria offering accommodation in the form of five spacious bedrooms. 
Local amenities  include Snowdonai National Park and local beaches.

The Royal Sportsman Hotel, Porthmadog

Adeiladwyd y Royal Sportsman ym 1862 ym Mhorthmadog ym Mharc Cenedlaethol Eryri.  Hen dafarn goets sydd wedi cadw ei nodweddion gwreiddiol ers ei hadnewyddu yn 2009.  Adeilad tri llalwr sydd wedi’i hymestyn yn ddiweddar, a chanddi 28 stafell wely.

Mae tanau pren agored yn boblogaidd â bobl lleol ac ymwelwyr.  Mae’r bar yno wedi ei enwi ar ôl Gelert, ci ffyddlon y Tywysog Llywelyn.  Paentiwyd y murlun sy’n hongian uwchben y bar gan artist lleol.  Gwelir lluniau gwreiddiol o’r dref ar y waliau.

Pengwern Arms, Llan Ffestiniog

Hen dafarn porthmyn sy’n sefyll ar sgwâr pentref Llan Ffestiniog.  Mae’r adeilad Gradd II tua 300 mlynedd oed.  Gellir cyrraedd Moelwyn Bach, Moelwyn Mwr a Moel yr Hydd yn hawdd o’r dafarn.

The Royal Oak, Penrhyndeudraeth

Saif yr adeilad cerrig lleol a ffenestr bwa ar Stryd Fawr Penrhyndeudraeth.  Yn ôl pob sôn cafodd rhan isaf y dref ei hadeiladu tu cefn i’r adeilad.

Mae’r Royal Oak yn gyfagos â phentref poblogaidd Portmeirion a adeiladwyd gan Syr Williams-Ellis rhwng 1925 ac 1975.

Mae’n boblogaidd â’r trigolion lleol ac ymwelwyr a gweinir cwrw traddodiadol.

Plas Coch Hotel, Y Bala

Mae’r Plas Coch wedi’i lleoli ar Stryd Fawr Y Bala.  Mae’n boblogaidd â’r bobl lleol a thwristiaid.  Tafarn goets yn wreiddiol a adeiladwyd tua 1780.

Mae’r dref ei hun ar gyrion Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri, lle delfrydol i hwylio, cerdded a chanŵio.

Penbont Inn, Llanrug

Adeilad du a gwyn sy’n boblogaidd â phobl lleol Llanrug, gogledd Cymru.  The Railway Inn oedd ei henw hyd at y 1960au ond bryd hynny fe’i newidiwyd pan gaewyd y rheilffordd.

Mae ynddi ystafell chwaraeon sy’n cynnwys byrddau pŵl a dartiau.

Gweinir cwrw traddodiadol.

Mae mynediad i gadeiriau olwyn.

Mae’r atyniadau lleol yn cynnwys Canolfan Greenwood ac Amgueddfa Lechi Llanberis.

Gors Bach Inn, Llanddeiniolen

A hidden gem located on the B4366 in Llanddeiniolen close to the Snowdonia National Park.  Beautiful views from the inn which can be enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.

Real ale establishment much enjoyed by walkers in the area.   Four pint pitchers available at bar. 

Refurbished at the end of 2010

Greenwood Forest Park located nearby. 

Ancaster Hotel, Betws-y-Coed

After closing the Ancaster Hotel became the Riverside restaurant.

The Stag, Dolgellau

The Stag is the oldest pub in Dolgellau and dating back to the late 17th century / early 18th century.  At one time a coaching inn constructed from two foot thick walls made from traditional Welsh stone.

The interior consists of an inglenook and beams believed to be original. 

Has separate pool room, beer garden and a real fire in the winter. 

The Stag is believed to be haunted by an old landlord who has been seen coming down the stairs to the pool room during the night.

Cask Marque approved real ale establishment.
