Wheelwrights, Erwood

Wheelwrights Arms, ErwoodWheelwrights Arms, ErwoodBuilt in the 16th century and frequented over the years by drovers on their frequent journeys to London. 
During the Second World War it was used as an ammunition factory and also used as a Head Quarters for the Home Guard.
During part of the 1990s the pub was closed but thankfully reopened and still serving the village well especially since the closure of the Erwood Inn making it the only pub still operating in Erwood.
