Ym 1872 Arglwydd Tredegar oedd perchennog y Lamb ond ym 1905 fe’i prynnwyd gan Simonds of Bristol. Dioddefodd yr adeilad am flynyddoedd gyda dwr yn llifo i’r seler a chredir bod ffynnon tanddaearol o dan Baneswell.
Tafarn poblogaidd yn ddinas Casnewydd.
